Shrine Series

A eulogy to the recording studio of years gone by. At first glance the Shrine Series appears to be of empty life-size interiors, but upon closer inspection they are in fact dollhouse miniatures. By constructing at this scale the vintage recording equipment is imbued with a sense of childhood wonder and preciousness. Dramatic lighting and low camera angles create a church-like environment. The spaces are empty and meditative. This is a shrine to recording studios and studio equipment of yesteryear that produced the music of the sixties that we still worship today.
